  • Technical data about how you interact with our website and online services including your IP address, your device and browser details, time zone settings, how often you use our website, page views, time spent on pages of our website, navigation paths and other technology on the devices which you use to access our website.

  • Monitoring and/or keeping records of our communications with you, whether by email, text, social media or other messaging channels.  Information submitted via our contact form will never be used for marketing purposes unless you explicitly instruct us otherwise.
  • Processing orders that you place with us.

  • Statistical purposes so that we may improve our website and services available to you.

(2) For marketing and advertising purposes where we have received your consent.  Depending on your selected preferences, this may include:

  • Emailing you about the latest news, events, new product launches and offers at Elise Gustilo. We use a third-party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver our newsletters.  In order for us to monitor and improve our e-newsletters, we gather statistics around the emails opened and clicks using industry standard technologies.  For more information, please see Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy.  You may unsubscribe anytime by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email or by contacting us directly.
  • Using your information to show you advertising on social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook or on other websites you use via third party promotions that may appear on these sites.

  • Replying to customer enquiries raised at our studio, events, online, social media or over the phone.
  • Analysing how you use our website and other online services so that we may deliver relevant website content and improve the products and services we offer you through our site. We acquire and process data for these purposes using Google Analytics.
  • Measuring and understanding customer responses to our advertising and marketing activities, so that we may continually develop and determine effective marketing strategies to further grow our business.
  • Managing and protecting our business, website, computer systems and networks as permitted or required by law.  We may use your personal data if required by authorities or a court order or other legal process and also to establish, pursue or defend ourselves against any legal claims, to enforce our legal rights, Terms and Conditions, policies, agreements or otherwise as necessary by applicable law and/or regulations.

Data Retention

Your Personal Data will only be stored for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.  The length of time that we retain the data is based on factors such as the amount, nature and sensitivity of information, the reasons for processing, if this purpose can be achieved via alternative means, potential risks from a breach or unauthorised use, as well as ensuring that we satisfy any legal, reporting or accounting requirements.  We regularly review the data which we retain.

The law requires that we keep basic information about our customers for tax purposes, including name, contact, financial and order details for six years after an individual ceases to be a customer.


Data Security

In order to protect your data, we take measures such as using email encryption.  We additionally use Google reCAPTCHA to minimise unwanted and potentially harmful email content entering our systems.

Personal Data which you provide on a form filled out at our studio or event, will either be stored in a secure cabinet - which only Elise Gustilo has access - or on a third party platform that is password secure or employs two-factor authentication where possible.  In the event a data breach occurs we will notify you and any applicable regulator if legally required.

Elise Gustilo values the trust our customers and users give us when they provide us with Personal Data and we want you to feel confident when using this website, dealing with us in person or on the phone.    However information transmitted via the internet is not completely secure.  Whilst we always do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot make any guarantees regarding the security of Personal Data transmitted via email or to our site.
